Get the training you need to launch your career in healthcare with the following diploma programs:

Medical Assistant Diploma Program

The Medical Assistant (MA) diploma program at St. Louis College of Health Careers combines academics with hands-on training to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to pursue a career as a Medical Assistant.

Combining general education and occupational courses, it’s designed to train you in a variety of practical skills, including:

  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Documenting patient history
  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • Drawing blood (phlebotomy)
  • Utilizing electronic medical records
  • Assisting providers with various specialty examinations
  • Graduate Opportunities

Upon successful completion of this program, you will be eligible to apply for approval to take a national Certified Medical Assistant examination (AAMA) to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

Medical Office Administration Diploma Program

Every hospital, clinic, and doctor’s office requires an extensive support staff who work behind the scenes and with patients to keep everything running smoothly. The Medical Office Administration diploma program at St. Louis College of Health Careers is designed to prepare you for these roles.

Curriculum covers a variety of medical front office responsibilities, including patient accounts, appointment scheduling, filing, chart management, data entry, claims processing, accounts receivable, mail management, banking, telephone management, and an introduction to coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).

Healthcare Training Associate Programs

St. Louis College of Health Careers offers the following Associate of Applied Science programs:

Respiratory Therapy Program, Associate of Applied Science

Build the confidence and knowledge you need to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders such as asthma and emphysema in the Respiratory Therapy program at St. Louis College of Health Careers.

You will gain hands-on experience with real patients of all ages in conducting cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, evaluating their need for respiratory care, and administering therapeutic treatments. Additionally, Respiratory Therapists care for patients on life support systems, where they initiate and manage mechanical ventilation.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible to apply to sit for the board examination series administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) to earn the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program, Associate of Applied Science

Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) play an important role in helping patients recovering from injury and illness reclaim their quality of life. Under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, PTAs focus their efforts on restoring patients’ range of motion, managing their chronic/acute pain, and performing functional activities of their daily lives once again with confidence.

Upon graduation, you’ll be able to:

  • Collect data on the progress of each patient
  • Document and report on each patient’s response to treatment
  • Educate patients and their families on how to apply therapeutic techniques to their everyday lives
  • Assist with a broad range of other aspects of their physical therapy practice

Respiratory Therapy (RRT to BSRT) Program, Bachelor of Science

Take your career as a Respiratory Therapist to the next level with the Respiratory Therapy (RRT to BSRT) program at St. Louis College of Health Careers.

You will work with real patients to gain additional knowledge, skills and attributes in the field of respiratory therapy. You’ll also gain important leadership, education, research and clinical skills that can help you reach your professional goals and advance your career.

Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion Program - Fully Online

Take your nursing career to the next level with the RN to BSN program at St. Louis College of Health Careers. Ideal for actively licensed registered nurses who want to pursue higher education and take their nursing career to the next level, this program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, including nursing leadership and management, community health, research and evidence-based practice, complex care, and end-of-life care.

The program is delivered fully online which allows students the flexibility to balance their work and personal responsibilities while pursuing their higher education goals.

RN-BSN Program Requirements

Applicants to the RN to BSN Program must have already obtained their registered nursing degree from an approved nursing program and hold an active unencumbered RN license.

You must have a minimum of 60 approved transfer credits including at least 20 general education credits.

Healthcare Training Master’s Programs

Healthcare Administration Master of Science Program - Fully Online

Fully Online

Combining applied learning and personalized learning, the MHA degree is offered fully online to help work around your busy schedule.
